A couple of years ago I added a "Add to Favorites" button to my site. At the time, I read that it really helps with having repeat customers come back to your site. I'm trying to clean up the look of the site some and wondered if it is really necessary these days to have that button. Does anyone use these anymore or does the General Public know how to add bookmarks from their toolbar? Just wondered if it's outdated.
For digg, it would be a good idea to have them on your site so that you can get more diggs and *possibly* get to the front page. For other social bookmarks, consider their popularity before placing them in your site (so you don't clutter it up with too many). Essentially, just be more selective with social bookmarks.
It's not for social bookmarking at all, just an "Add to Favorites" bookmark to add to IE toolbar Favorites.
Ok, well those are not necessary since if the person really wants to bookmark it.. they can do it themselves manually..
