For a short time (until this Sunday) you can get a Standard +5 listing which includes 5 optional deeplinks for just $5.99 Are your pages in the Book? Link Book Web Directory Questions? PM me. The usual disclaimer applies - please submit to the appropriate category, Standard submissions are not accepted in top level categories; no PPC please. Thanks for having a look.
Submitted some sites and will add more later. That ten deeplinks really confuses me what to put. But that's good. Will add more later.
Thanks for the submissions; your Featured listings are active. Someone asked about the value of a listing in a category with multiple pages of listings; this was a free directory prior to my ownership. We've changed the default sort option to ascending by date, so new submissions appear above the free listings.
To answer another inquiry; yes, we can update existing free listings for the same price. Offer ends tonight! Thanks.
CReed, I paid you $29.99 long ago for a FEATURED listing at http://www.linkbook.org/Education/ with 10 deep links. You never posted my links, and you never contacted me. Your site has no contact information that I can find. You have PRIVATE whois contact info. Why all the secrecy? I had absolutely no way to contact you until I thought to do a keyword search for "linkbook.org" here at DP. Why have you taken my money and run?
Yes, you submitted a listing on May 6, 2007 (not all that long ago). The site is a recent acquisition for us, and "About Us" and "Contact Us" pages are being developed. Private domain name registration does not limit you from contacting us; an email address is listed and all messages are forwarded to us from that address. No "secrecy" or anything sinister about using private registration. We've found it cuts down on the amount of spam received and use it for all of our domain name registrations. I guess it's a matter of personal preference. I'm guessing your PayPal receipt doesn't show to whom a payment was made and an email address? You could have also used the email address listed on the whois. I'm not going anywhere, I think I'm pretty visible here @ DP. And just how far do you think I could run on $29.99? If you would have reviewed your payment transaction, you would have found that the payment was refunded the same day (within 45 minutes of receipt): Item Amount: $29.99 USD Shipping: $0.00 USD Handling: $0.00 USD Quantity: 1 Item Title: Link Book Web Directory listing for essaytown.com Item Number: 13738 Custom: 70 Date: May 6, 2007 Time: 12:50:41 PDT Status: Refunded I'm quite sure that you received a refund notification email from PayPal. And after the time we both wasted with your submission to another of our directories, I'm sure you can figure out why I chose to not go that route once again. In any event, my thanks to you for your interest in Link Book Web Directory and your false accusations. I guess I shouldn't expect an apology.
When you sell a product through a Web site, it is YOUR responsibility to provide clear contact information on the same Web site. That's basic business law. It's not my responsibility to have to run a whois search in the first place! And no, I didn't receive any emails from PayPal.
I believe I've already addressed your concern regarding the lack of contact information on the site. And I think I'd have my facts straight prior to making any public accusations. <edit> We've added an About Us page which provides an email address should our visitors wish to contact us.</edit>
My facts were quite straight, thanks. You proved it by adding a contact page that was non-existent prior to me having to creatively find you and posting here. Next time, send the customer a COURTESY email stating that you denied the listing, and there will be no problems.
Your facts were far from the truth as we both know it. And there are no problems, except maybe that you imagine? Bottom line - your payment was refunded 8 days ago. I've never received a refund without notification from PayPal. It's likely you overlooked it. It happens. Nobody took your money and ran as you claim.
