You probably won't get too many clicks for $25 a month. It is pretty competitive on AdWords for SEO, understandably. It's a like billboard company advertising on one of their billboards -- you are competing with every other billboard company. Make sure you do a lot of keyword research and find the long tail keywords through Wordtracker (get a 30 day free trial). Turn off the "content network" on your ads until you figure out how to get conversions and by all means start slow. Make sure you can see the raw query strings of when Google is showing your and users are clicking on your ads. Add negative keywords once you see clicks from non-relevant or untargeted searches. Don't take Google's word for it that they are showing your ads on relevant searches. Start with only a few high volume, low cost, keywords, make they convert, and then add more. Make your ads as relevant as possible (use your keywords(s) in the title), one description line, and after the slash "/ " in the URL. Separate your parent keywords (two word phrases) by adgroup and create a different ad, relevant, ad for every ad group. AdWords can be great for many industries, but for SEO I would all the while continue to: -Write articles -Industry Blogging -Establish yourself as an expert by reading and posting in forums -Stay on top of the latest research After all, some prospects may ask themselves "if you are so good at SEO, why do you have to advertise on AdWords?"
