IE Icon

    Some sites when viewed in IE have a logo in the browser bar to the left of the http://.....................

    Does anyone know how that is added?

    If you upload an icon file called favicon.ico to the directory the page is on, usually it will recognize it and add it there. Alternatively, you could add this meta tag:

    <link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.sitename.com/images/favicon.ico" />

    P.S. It isn't just an IE thing. Most browsers do it. As far as I know.

    Don't forget to design your ico file as a 16 x 16, 16 bit image!
