If I wanted to ask Adsense whether or not a site was within TOS, would they ban the site if it was against TOS??

Put up some images where you want your Google ads to be and then ask Google if it looks ok. That way you're not risking getting banned.

I think they only ban if you click your own ads or try to get someone else to click your ads. I've seen sites ridiculously over the tos and they never get banned even when they are repeatedly reported. Every case is different though, so who knows?

Happened to me once, I put up a site with adsense and asked Google if it was against their TOS for some of the things I did.

They replied it was and politely asked me to remove some of the ads. I think if you come across as sincere in your request, they are willing to help.

    Good luck! :)

Depends on who answers your questions.

I'd use images just to be on the safe side.

You don't need to ask them. Read their TOS. When in doubt, abstain. If you follow this general rule, you'll be safe.

You are a POTENTIAL money making source for them. If you are honest and genuine, they will help you for sure. If something's against TOS, they will advice you the Do's and Dont's . I've mailed them on couple of occasions and they have answered most of my queries.

I think the TOS is pretty clear in what is right and wrong. However, if you still have any doubt then I would recommend getting their advice.

    That's it right there.

And sometimes they can be very vague, they'll refer you to the ToS.
