I nearly fell off my chair today when I checked my adsense account and I had been paid $12.38 for just one click. Is the big G feeling generous?!

That's what happens with newbies using adword.

 

It must be a highly competitive keyword! That must have been from a company with one high budget.

 

Or the adword newbie bidded high on that keyword

It is not so much that Google is generous, it is the Adword Publisher which is the one bidding and Google just give you your share of the revenue from that amount.

Today was a great day for me too. I had a 2.50 click! Not that amazing but its great to me

 

My record is $7.68 per click, $12 is ridiculously high.

 

my high is around $2. but nowa days getting few clicks $1.

 

I generally get 0.5-2$ per click. BTW how can I increase it

congrats my highest click amount to date is 7 cents

 

My general click is $.10-$.15. It's made up for by pretty high CPR (7%-%10)

Anyway, $12? That must be one competitive keyword.
