Has anyone got their Google traffic back yet?

Like quite a few others I have since April had sites with SERP problems. The sites are indexed by google, but no longer ranks for anything in the first 4-6 pages or so, including searches for the domain names

Has anyone who got hit very hard in April or beginning of May got their traffic back yet?

I have 4-5 sites totally not ranked by google for anything... since April.

Gets me down sometimes but what can you do?

Just carry on with link building I guess.

I see some sites get alot of traffic then drop after few days. It seems like some sites are bounceing around google right now.

Me neither, my organic (Google) traffic has decreased for 20% after the last pagerank update.

Well you're lucky, mine is down by 75-99% depending on which website. Two of my sites are more or less dead in the water.

I got hit hard in early April - but bounced back about 7 or 8 days later. Everything is pretty normal for me presently.

I'm not back to how I was, but I'm not expecting a bounce back anytime soon... When I have new posts on my wordpress sites, it seems to have a lot bigger impact on my traffic.

seems like there was an update around that time that devalued certain SEO techniques you were using....look more into it...It might be something more than the normal fluctuations

Thing is I don't use any special techniques at all. On the most profitable site I link build with related sites, reciprocral or 3-way, and I submit to link directories. The site currently ranks much worse than it did when it was launched a year ago, and if I search for its domain name in google the top hit is my blog, after that various sites that link to the domain.

One of the affected sites has got no SEO done whatsoever, but neither has any site in that niche. It's just a very old fan site and all incoming links are natural 1-way links accumilated over the course of 10 years. Now the site has lost all google traffic and instead you get wikipedia pages that are not even in English, product pages on amazon and various social network profiles (myspace, livejournal etc.)

    Totally screwed up.

Maybe tomorrow, maybe never. Google SERP is decided by a group of monkeys rolling dices these days.

I have seen a 50% drop in traffic since April 18th which I assume was an algorithm change, but there are simply no black hat or even gray hat seo techniques employed on the site. Keywords I had ranked in top ten have all gone away. Google webmaster tools offers no reports or explanations - pulling out my hair trying to figure this out - loss of 50% revenue on flagship site is awful.
