    Yes, if you settle all your bills within the allocated time frame, you do not need to pay any interest charges. Some credit card comes without annual fees so that would be great for you, some do charge a small annual fees but provide you with reward points which you can use to claim for products or be used to waive your annual fees.

    Personally, I prefer the American Express Card. Although it is not as widely accepted as the VISA Card, their service is the best that I experience anywhere. They sure make you feel like royalty. Of course, the Amex card is usually not cheap.

    I don't think so but if you have some relative in US, than try to talk to him/her and make some arrangement.

    Well I have heard Horror stories of SBI Card, ABN Amro cards.
    Heard positive things about HDFC and ICICI Cards
    Decide and be happy!

    Avoid all products of ABN AMRO .... I used to work for ABN...trust me ..they are not worth doing business with ..their terms and charges are ridiculous :).
