hostgator-cpanel-file manager........files wont delete

    I can't get 2 of my old html files to delete in file manager what should i do try to delete them with a ftp program???

    Also im a noob and i know my site files go in public html folder but what the hell are all the other folders and files for that are there when you first sign up with hostgator?

    Oh, what have you done now ??? He he.
    If you trust me, give me access to you cpanel and I will fix everything for you.

    Those files and folders are for stats and so on.

    Three things i would suggest.

    1) Never give you login info out.
    2) Don't worry to much with files in the "other" folder. These are most likely needed config and storage files needed for your account.
    3) Contact your host directly if you have any questions, as they know the particular system the best.

    Hostgator is a great host, good luck...

    but really i have 2 old files that i delete and it says sent to trash but they are always there- oh well i guess its not hurting anything

    I suggest

    Never reveal your login info public. If you want to give, PM function still exists.

    What if some guest gets something wrong done?

    If you give me a ftp access I could delete them for you ,if not do it yourself with a ftp program.

    Delete them via FTP as noted previously. The cPanel file manager has an awful lot of bugs :)
