Hi all, maybe this seems very stupid, but i´d have to ask anyway. Because, when i´m at Godaddy´s homepage, i never see the "register/open new account" link; and at the right side of the page, they make some reference to my account/logout (!!!???), but then they ask me for my username/pass, but obviously they haven´t any account with that data! So if someone could retrieve a link where to sign up... Thnaks.
click 'forgot password' link on right side .. You will find a link 'setup a new account' But it looks really weird as even I couldn't find a register link from home page Mr Bob Parson.. Are you seeing this ?
Ya Godaddy.com is bit Confusing and Difficult and always full of promotions (ads) Anyways to register a domain Click on Domains -- then in Drop Down .. click on Register a Domain then u should proceed be careful read everything on the site because u'll see while registering they'll pop up a offers for u
I remember when I first time visited godaddy, I found them extremely confusing and crappy. Well, for now you can just search a domain name and proceed with it if available .. it will ask you to signup during registration process.
On the right hand site of the panel , see forget your pass option , then click on it you opt to a page asking username and pass , and if not have then register now , but as all said be carefull , they have a lot of ads on their page.
I hate to repeat my self but today is mother's day Do your self a favor and find a decent registrar GoMammy is not the reliable registrar some people talk about A usual registrar with big $$$ for marketing and ads His homepage and generally his interface is one of the worst i have seen
Thanks to all of you guys, you´re really helpfull. I mostly work with namecheap, but when buying new sites, some of them are registered at godaddy. To make things easier, i thought about opening an account there.
Actually from my experience with GoDaddy, you technically do not need to open an account there. When you register your first domain name or service from them, you will be able to create an account at that point of time. They work differently from Namecheap which requires you to create an account before you can use them. When you buy a Godaddy's registered domain name from someone else, you need to furnish your full information to that person who would push the domain name to you. You will get an email from GoDaddy and from there you can accept the 'pushed' domain name and thereby either use your existing GoDaddy account or create a new one.
