Blizzard announcing new game May 19th (THIS SATURDAY!)

I pray the next game is Diablo 3 more than SC2. But since they're announcing it in Korea (where they have SC competitions to this day) it will most likely be SC2.

Whatever game it is , it will be BIG. All of Blizzard's games have been successful, all are classics.

/me crosses fingers for Diablo 3.

 

Definately exciting. Another expansion to WoW would sure please the masses.

And anyway, an expansion won't be it, because if you pay attention to blizzard's homepage, the timeline only lists ORIGINAL GAMES, it does NOT list expansions (which I believe WC2 had, SC1 had, Diablo 2 had, and WC3 had).

It will be a new game, NOT AN EXPANSION.

And I'm sick of all the WoW, thank god it's a new game.

Oh lord. I'm not a gamer anymore, but I would definately buy Diablo 3 if it came out!

I've have each and every one, and it would be fun to play it over the summer.

 

My money is on it being a Starcraft MMO. One of the gaming magazines is already quoting inside sources that it will be a Starcraft MMORPG. World of Starcraft?

 

They wouldn't. They would make further profit by expanding WoW than making a WoS. People would just call it an imitation. Give it a bad rep.

 

I'd have to agree on that one...wouldn't be smart for them to have to compete with themselves and support two different MMORPGs...especially when one just got a big update...

I'm with everyone else too...it'd be awesome if it was Diablo 3...though this like the rest...i'd probably not have any time to play it anyway

 

Diablo 3 would be pretty sweet.
I've only played the original diablo when it came out 10 or so years ago when it came out.
I'm scared to get any of their new games because they are so addicting that you end up not getting any work done.

 

Blizzard is going to announce the new game next Saturday in South Korea. Korea is the #1 place in the world where Starcraft is played, they have concerts and huge tournaments where players can win hundreds of thousands of dollars. There is no way that Blizzard would announce Diablo 3 in Korea when Starcraft is so huge over there.

Well placed US sources have revealed to us that the StarCraft MMO will be unveiled at an upcoming Blizzard event on May 19 in South Korea - the epicentre of the sci-fi RTS series' rabid fandom.

It's going to be World of Starcraft!

You guys are missing the fact that by the time the Starcraft game gets here it will probably be 1-2 years from now...plenty of time for a new MMO from Starcraft since the Warcraft expansion will be older by then. Plus lots of WoW gamers first get into MMO games by playing that game and then trying others. Making a Starcraft game makes perfect sense for Blizzard.

i have played all there games, warcraft3 is my favorite, looking foreword to see some more great games!

 

As long as they change the graphics. I can't believe people enjoy World of Warcraft. If the graphics were better and game play was improved, then maybe I would find WoW a bit more interesting.

 

Let's not forget that Starcraft was basically Warcraft II in space. Both very similar in gameplay, etc. So if WoW worked so well, taking Warcraft to MMO, then it makes sense Starcraft could do the same. However, I wish they would make another RTS game.

I do wish it would be Diablo III.

Woooww. This will be HUGE.
It will eather be Diablo 3 or Starcraft 2. Judging by the new page that opens at www.blizzard.com with the Diablo logo on top of it, it may actually be a new Diablo.

Though i'd want to see Starcraft 2!!!!!!!

 

They will go with what was more popular out of starcraft and diablo, to maybe boost sales ??

 

Great news for WOW lovers, I guess. But there are people I know who seem to spend far too long playing this game, they forget to sleep, don't shave, don't go out... There should be a support group for Warcraft addicts.

 

Yesterday the logo was the two warcraft covers, it goes by the game down the bottom. Tomorrow the next game along the timeline (Starcraft) will most likely have it's box up, all up until the announcement when the ? will be revealed.

It's more than likely SC2, but if it ended up D3 (or both) I'd probably quit everything for the next few years to play it to death
