This is nothing new parents have never wanted their kids to go to war, just with earlier wars it was more clearly protecting the United States while with the Global War on terrorism, its just a meat grinder accomplishing nothing. Im really disappointed with how Bush has just ignored everything the soldiers have tried to say about the war, it looks like the new secretary gates is actually going to listen to more than just money unlike his predecessor.

 

Most liberals want others to serve their country for them. This is another example. Conservatives serve our country. Liberals bitch about our country. Case in point.

 

Which is why the children of the powerful are not in Iraq.

 

Same goes for every war. I thought I read somewhere that Bush Jr did not get drafted for Vietnam war. Anyone can confirm this?
