Directory-Owners phpLynx Contest - Win $$ and more

With the release of phpLynx on 5/12/2007 we would like to show gratitude and encouragement to the Lynx Team and to those directory owners whom want to give it a try! Submissions begin today and run through 6/15/2007. Submit your phpLynx Dir. -HERE-

So this months contest will go like this:

Requirements:

• MUST BE a phpLynx directory site. (All other submissions will be deleted)

Prize:

• $200 Cash from PhpLynx
• (1) Full Paid version of phpLynx will be awarded to the winner ($120 value - Linkback free version) from Directory-Owners
• Same as normal DOTM (front page recognition and write up page posted on Directory-Owners.com)

Winner chosen by top nominations from D-O staff then those top 5 nominations will be voted on by the general forum member audience.

Is it eligible to enter right now or I'll have to wait till I finish?

 

You should enter anyways as you are the only one using it, the changes of winning are great!

 

Thanks Jesse for the encouragement. Its really empty field and I am eyeing that $200 to add $99 more and list in Yahoo (( kidding -I would better list my site on 5 other sites than yahoo ATM )

If you feel it's complete enough to enter....go for it.

 

Jesse...I wouldn't discount the script by saying that "he's the only one using it".....in fact there are MANY already out in the "wild" and I know of a few with some pretty high PR. I think once Lynx gets some more face time and more people see it and the loads of options and flexibility it has.....then you will probably see lots of folks converting to it from some of the "relic" scripts they are using today.

As a matter of my own personal usage..I currently don't run it in "production" as I have been waiting on the full paid release that came out yesterday. My full intention is to use the import tool built into it and import a phpLD 3.x to Lynx.

Lets not take the thread away from its original intention,

Aprecciated if you where trying to have a bit of a giggle then fine, but I have seen this so many times, the minute someone mentions anything to promote phplynx you always get someone trying the slag it down and move the thread into a different direction.

I for one am sick of it. I know for a fact they are many phplynx directories out there, some of PR 4+ within 3 months, not many other scripts can boast that.

I would like to enter the competition also but have to ask if I am allowed as I am part of the cantufind network and was wondering if they are any restrictions within the competition which might stop me entering.

Gary, I don't see you entering the contest as being a problem. Since you are not part of the D-O group making the final nominations to be voted on. This put's your site on a level with all the other submissions.

If anyone feels differently, please speak up. I want everyone to know and feel this is a fair contest.

You can view the Directory here, Tri-X-Directory.com, it's a custom designed template and uses a free version of the phplynx script.

I know there are many good phplynx directories out there, especially http://www.allabouthomes.ca/ and if Vito decides to enter I don't think any other directory would stand a chance when pitted against this directory.
