This is going to be a dangerous race. Doing it at night for the very first time. What happens if there is a blackout and drivers are driving at high speed?

Even if there is a blackout, definitely there will be standby generators plus the racing cars have their own lights. Should not be a problem with that. Danger is definitely will be there but as long as all safety measures are taken, things should be okay. In life, no one can guarantee 100% safety.

Well, what is the likelihood of a blackout in Singapore anyways ? I mean I have been living in Singapore for the last 37 years and in the last 20 years, there was just 2 times which I remember there was a blackout. So you do not need to worry about that.

The street lights in Singapore is more than adequate especially through the route. I am sure that they will provide extra lightnings and other precaution. You can count on the Singapore Government to do more than what they are expect to do to ensure this would be a success.

I would think that the idea of pushing it to the night is because there would be a lot less cars on the road and the routes would not have as much traffic.

    Yes very nice ... night-race :D

Did you see Bernie's comment on Coulthard and Alonso not liking this night-race. hahahaha

Bernie said that Alonso is too young and not long enough in F1 to know how to do business in F1 and Coulthard should not worry about it since he will probably not even race next year :D buahahah he showed the "stars" who is the boss and who is making them living :D

Martin Brundle and Bernie Ecclestone on the gridwalks, classic.

A nightrace would be good, that is assuming it is a street race.

Singapore wouldn't have been my first choice though, it would have been London (I wonder why :p)

Singapore is definitely my choice from the asian pool though, its certainly easier to set up than most others cities in the area. Hong Kong for example!

    Imagine Mumbai F1...!

Cool, doesn't look like it has a single pure acceleration zone though, needs some sort of scale. I wonder if there's a youtube video :D
