    Because PR isn't measured by traffic (and vice versa). They're two independant things.

    High PR is not equal to high traffic.

    Good SERPs for frequently searched words equals high traffic.

    You mean to say that PR has no connection with the amount of traffic a site recieves, How it converts or how well it ranks in google? I'm shocked!!!! :eek: :D

    to get traffic it's simple. Create something that people want to see, want to link to and want to tell thier friends about.

    You need lots of backlinks with good anchor text that contains keywords you want to be ranked for. Thats the best way to increase your SERP rankings and get some traffic. Good luck!

    yup! if you have a higher PR, it doesn't mean it will boost traffic.
    advertise your website to add some traffic.

    Page Rank <> Traffic

    Search Engine results = traffic

    To get the results you need to build optimized pages and then get a variety of links from authority sites. I use a lot of long tail link from Press Release that are distributed to news sites. High PR and high traffic tend to follow.

    toolbar page rank is effecting your serp results. toolbar page is only calculated for fun. it's calculated with your backlinks.

    serp has so many (some people are saying over 200) criterias. backlinks is one of these criterias

    Do not base on your PR if you want more traffic. Base on your content and design because ordinary people does not care how high your PR is.

    ROI > Traffic > SERPs > PR

    This is getting old ;)

    SERP > PR

    SERP = + $$

    PR = $ if sell links.

    SERP + PR = $$$

    SERP + PR + $$$ = ++SERP ++ PR ++ $$$$^2

    Exponential growth!

    Example: Google.com has PR10, but you almost never see it in the SERPS.

    Funny thing, google.com is #3 for "search engine" right now.
    And #2 for "search" - outranked by Microsoft Live Search.
    Google just isn't into SEO.
