Is Alexa ranking most important in Google Ranking?

I am wondering whether alexa ranking is most important in google ranking? Do you have any idea? I think Alexa ranking is quite important for ranking for all search engines.

I am wondering I need to emphasize the alexa ranking to get higher rank in google search.

Alexa is worthless except as a metric to give to your potential advertisers and/or potential buyers when selling your website. There is no evidence to suggest it plays any role in SERPs, and an overwhelming amount of evidence that suggest that it doesn't.

 

There's no connection. Alexa is a different program, by a different company (owned by Amazon.com) that attempts to rank traffic in a totally different way.

Alexa is just traffic statistics based off a toolbar, it is in no way affiliated to google.

All alexa does is affect adbrite and textlinkad's purchases/ad prices.

 

Alexa is not important for Google and should not be considered important for anything.

 

Improve your Alexa rank today.. and of course youll improve price of Adbrite and Textlink ads for your site !

The problem is that people will pay more than it is worth either it is buying links or even buying the site. Is that not a problem ?

 

I'm sorry, are you asking what the problem is with asshole webmasters inflating their rankings, solely in an effort to rip off other webmasters, is? Why there is a problem with them artificially inflating their POS sites stats in an effort to get undeserved money?

You are kidding, right? You asked, on a message board full of webmasters, what's wrong with inflating a statistic for the sole purpose of cheating webmasters out of their money. That is what you were asking, right?

Many people on here buy text link ads, and you come and advocate a way to rip them off, trying to get others to do the same. Am I wrong in my assessment here of what you are doing and asking other people to do?

I use Alexa to get a rough sketch bout a particular site.. it doesn't give accurate results but tells me something more about the site's traffic...
But it is not important at all in Google Ranking...

I understand that google ranking is the SERP ranking based on certain keywords, but alexa ranking is based on traffic. How do they know your stats?
