Is there an ethical hacker or cracker out there that is willing to tutor me via email? I just want to know the basics, liking getting a forum member's password. Anyone?
On another forum a few members peed me off, I want to get there password so I can login as them and get them banned. I also want to learn how to gain access to website cpanels.
BUMP, All I need is a hacker willing to tell me how to get a forum members password and answer my questions.
As a former hacker I'd like to tell you, that what you are planning to do is not as easy as you think. Yeah, there are ways to hack to member's accounts, begging from brute forcing them, and up to hacking into the forum database, changing their e-mail addresses into yours, requesting to change password, and then change it to yours. But, brute forcing will take you days over days, with no guaranteed success, and the other option, well, you need a few years of hacking experience at least to do that. Anyway, no matter what you try to do, unless you know what you do, you are likely to be caught by forum administrators, and they might as well call your ISP and tell them you were a naughty boy. Anyway, no matter how good you are, hacking is never safe, and is punishable by law, even up to imprisonment. Do you really want this risk to get back at a few people who pissed you off?
Yeah I'll risk it, I wont do much, I wont ruin or change websites and I wont steal things. I just want to access a forum account, Without Brute Forcing, if there an easier way? and want can cmd.exe do?
Sorry DragonKeeper, I am not intending to offend, but you seem to think such a thing is much easier than it actually is.
I know that it is really hard, But I just wanna know the basics. Today I got into the ftp and smtp (I think) details of a forum using the Command Prompt, and that was very easy, and I controlled the movements of cameras over the net, Just simple things like that.
What are FTP and SMTP details? Just because you found out about IP address doesnt mean you have broken into anything. Believe me the command prompt itself has nothing to do with "hacking".
There are a lot of ways, you need to check first whether that the forum software is vulnerable or other step could be to get the details form the user through social engineering. But still it doesn't limit with these possible steps. 3l3ctr1c
ok, If you want to access a members account , first you should get some information such as which forum software this forum using. And you also find 0-day holes to get password, and it is not as easy as you think. Let's say you've found a 0-day vulnreability that no one knows, and you made sql injection to get passwords. You can't use this passwords now, because they are encoded with mostly md5.On smf ,they are encoded via sha.You should decode them with md5 bruteforcers, and it takes really long time if the password is long or/and alpha-numeric. Or if this member is idiot you can send him a fake mail and request his account information. Or if you are experienced , you can enter server with tcp softwares buffer overflow vulnreabilities. As you can understand from my post , you can't do this
well if it were so easy tat it had steps to do this then that then other thing... like creating an email account then 99% people would have been hackers by now.. the problem is there is no SUREshot way.. u have to keep on trying and testing
Quick, easy hacking => no real results. It's just like 'train me martial arts'. Yes, someone could train you, but you wouldn't be able to fight, or fight competently, for many, many years. The same with hacking. Well, actually he CAN send a fake mail. Spoofing sender name is well... VERY easy.
Hacking is a LOT more difficult than you most likely think. There's not one 'technique' that can get you into a forum members account. I'd say just stop worrying about it and get on with your life. How is it going to benefit you by hacking their accounts?
You want an ethical hacker to get you into a forum so you can destroy members, how do we now that you are not the one that are an a**hole in that forum ?
