    Hi,

I am seeing there are so many word cloud sites coming daily.

I am more surprised when I see lots of guys are running after buying links from word cloud.

As far as I understand word cloud pages are theme less and these pages have tons of outgoing links. :p

I don't think they are Good or even average backlinks? If talk about traffic....then what is the chance of getting click of each link?? And how big traffic these pages can get???

Word Cloud sites looks as if they are FREE FOR ALL sites or Link farm. lol

I am opening a poll to see how many people think they are good and how many think they are not good.

probably the most of them are not good. They are pretty much look like link farm.

As for traffic, I think the issue is a little irrelevant. Word cloud site itself won't influence the traffic. Even a high PR directory can not deliver much either, for example. But as I have said many times in this kind of thread, the biggest problem is that so many people use expired domains and sell links without promoting much.

People got smarter though. Word cloud sites are dying.

Owning one of those "cloud sites" has to be pretty depressing......They usually are ugly and have so many links that it makes you think "What da..!?".

IMHO they are spam sites.... A 5 y.o could do better SEO work. :)

Yeap, I agree. Many people want to increase their PR so that they could sell the ad space but in the end you get sites like that.

Since they have so many outgoing links , their efectivity is very low.

Who cares about the end users like me who look at these endless lines of different coloured, different sized or whatever clickable words and gets nothing out of it.

Not all sites using word clouds are link farms, really. Some of them just believe a word cloud will help browsing easier. Well, I prefer the old fashioned well structured dropdown menu for navigation. And if there's need to look for a particular word, I prefer the search function. Never built a website myself with a word cloud functionality on it and probably never will :)

Don't you guys think MillionDollarHomePage was a new variety to link farms? It was just not free.

Also, that was the mother of pixel, word clouds and you cubes type of ads. All are different names of spam, link farms etc.

Google may already have dumped the weight from such type of sites. What you people say?

Some people vote in the polls just for the sake of voting... sometimes they vote without even thinking.

Few days back there was a poll "What's you best PR"... so many users selected the PR10 option...:D.

Well, IMO word clouds are just link builders. No one's going to click on every link on a word cloud unless it's by random.

It really helps though if it's a good pageranked site. It'll definitely increase your rankings.
