I’m not sure what point exactly you want a source for? Waraqah Mohammed married Khadija at the age of 25 and got revelation at 40. That makes 15 years of contact with Kahdija’s cousin the Christian monk Waraqah ibn Nawfal. These Hadiths show how important was Waraqah to Mohammed. Hadith: Volume 4, Book 55, Number 605: Narrated 'Aisha: The Prophet returned to Khadija while his heart was beating rapidly. She took him to Waraqa bin Naufal who was a Christian convert and used to read the Gospels in Arabic Waraqa asked (the Prophet), "What do you see?" When he told him, Waraqa said, "That is the same angel whom Allah sent to the Prophet) Moses. Should I live till you receive the Divine Message, I will support you strongly." Hadith 2 Khadija then took him to Waraqa bin Naufil, the son of Khadija's paternal uncle. Waraqa had been converted to Christianity in the Pre-lslamic Period and used to write Arabic and write of the Gospel in Arabic as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight. Khadija said (to Waraqa), "O my cousin! Listen to what your nephew is going to say." Waraqa said, "O my nephew! What have you seen?" The Prophet then described whatever he had seen. Waraqa said, "This is the same Angel (Gabriel) who was sent to Moses. I wish I were young." He added some other statement. Allah's Apostle asked, "Will these people drive me out?" Waraqa said, "Yes, for nobody brought the like of what you have brought, but was treated with hostility. If I were to remain alive till your day (when you start preaching). then I would support you strongly." But a short while later Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was paused (stopped) for a while so that Allah's Apostle was very much grieved.
Why don't you look at the fact that these Ahadis point to the fact that Muhammad (PBUH) was a Messenger of God? And if you think that Muhammad (PBUH) was trying to get worldly benifits, please note that the pagans of Makkah did all sorts of attrocities on the Prophet (PBUH) and his companions. Some of them were fried to death! But when none of them gave up their faith, the pagans offered the Prophet anything he wanted including the entire Kingdom of Arab so that he gives up his prophethood. But he said that even if they placed the sun on his right hand and the moon on his left, he would not leave the task Allah had given him.
No wait wait, I am the last Prophet. There was no Prophet before me, and there will be no prophet after me! I suppose since I claimed something, it must be true That's one thing about all of you, you claim something and then when you are questioned about it you use the very material in question to answer what is being asked. This again goes back to my point of circular reasoning... Islam sucks, get over yourself.
uh.... i thought that muslims believed that moses and abraham and jesus adn 100's of other guys were prophets of allah... how could mohammed be the only one?
I often see Muslims claim one thing to come across as understanding & nice then just turn around & claim the opposite later.
How is it, that you first claim that "there was no prophet before Muhammad" and yet in several posts later claim that Jesus, Moses and Abraham where also prophets? Apparently you don't know your religion very well, Allah is not pleased To reiterate the point made by Toopac... "I often see Muslims claim one thing to come across as understanding & nice then just turn around & claim the opposite later".
hahah islam is crazy, i think muhammed (if he were alive) would be in some cave right now laughing histarically at how many ppl have fallen for his lie.
I really don't think that many have embraced it. A few have embraced and the rest are oppressed by it.
I can answer all these accusations being not-such-a-good Muslim myself. Reality check, 800 people are accepting Islam in USA only everyday. Current populations more 1.3 billion compared to 2 billion Christians.
Things you don't hear: How many are converting back to Christianity once they learn what it is really like Ever hear of REBELLION TO PARENTS!
Yeah. Heard of them. But never saw them. All propagators or fools! But I have seen convert Muslims becoming Islamic scholars.
