Hello, I am from India and want a credit card. There are lots of credit card companies available here so I am confused with whom to go? Ppls from India, Please write your experience and thoughts, suggestions over here.... Thanks in advance...
Whichever you choose, just make sure you pick a lifetime free card. Why should you pay an annual fee when you can get the same thing for free... ICICI would be a good choice.
I've take a look at ICICI site. There are many cards available there... with which card should I go? Which card has life time free service? http://www.icicibank.com/pfsuser/cards/creditcard/cc_home.htm
http://www.icicibank.com/pfsuser/cards/creditcard/cc_prefered.htm They are the life time free credit cards. Which one is good? Silver or Gold?
Yes that should be enough to get you a Silver card . If you have more than 1 lac per year income, you can get a Gold card too. These are the basic eligibility criteria.
Hello, I am in kathmandu. I am not a India citizen. Can I have a credit card or debit card from ICCI?
Not much of a difference...Gold has higher credit limit and slightly lower interest rate. If you are eligible, then go for Gold.
Thanks Sachin for your kind help... What about city bank credit card? My friend has told me citybank also offering the life time free credit cards...
Now a days so many banks such as HDFC, ICICI, ABN AMRO, SBI and many more offers lifetime credit cards so go with anyone whichone you like
Go with ICICI Gold Ameruican Express Card or HDFC Bank MasterCard. If you're interested in Visa, then I would recommend paying a small fees and get a SBI Card.
Anyone is the best as you dont have to pay intereste if you credit the bank and bring your card's credited amount to zero on time. I would recommend you using ICICI Visa as well or HDFC Mastercard.
You don't have to pay any charge if you pay back the debt before due date. After due date, banks charge you an interest rate. The interest rates of most banks are around 3% (Monthly). There is not much to choose from as far as interest rates go... so you can pick up any free card that you want. ICICI's charges are usally the lowest amongst the private banks. I am not sure about govt. banks...but govt banks' charges should be even lower than ICICI. By charges I don't mean the interest but the fees for those who don't pay the due amount on time. I chose ICICI as it is close to my home and one can find an ICICI ATM/Drop box almost anywhere...
