This is something JW came up with.... Show me the scriptures in the Old Testiment or New..

Jehovah's Witnesses teach that eternal life in God's presence is only for a select few. They claim that only a special group of 144,000 Jehovah's Witnesses can be born again and live forever with God in heaven; all other Jehovah's Witnesses stay on earth.

The Bible clearly teaches that all those who put their faith in Jesus Christ will have eternal life in the presence of God. The Bible refers to this group as an innumerable multitude: Revelation 7:9, 15 — "After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb ... they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple." See also: John 3:15; 5:24;12:26; Ephesians 2:19; Philippians 3:20; Colossians 3:1; Hebrews 3:1; 12:22; 2 Peter 1:10,11.

    Christianity is tolerant?

That's new to me. Christianity accepts everyone. But it was Christ himself who told people they would go to hell if they didn't accept him. Christianity warns people of their sin so they can repent. The warning isn't to raise one above the "sinners" it's out of love. Christianity teaches that all are equally wicked. We all need a kick in the pants every once in awhile and we should be glad to get it.

Atheism is intolerant towards all religion. Whining about "intolerance" is hypocritical. All people think they're right and everyone else is wrong.

To sum up what you said:

Christianity is tolerant when you're not:
    Gay
    Worshiping another god
    An atheist
    Support abortion

And your atheist remark was pretty incorrect. Most atheists don't care how retarded a religious person's beliefs are. We grow intolerant when they force their beliefs on us. For instance: In god we trust on our currency.

It's sad that people don't like it when others force their ridiculous religious dogma on to them?

There are many interpretations as i have said before. Are u saying that by growing up into a different religion u are automatically going to hell????????
Are u guys nuts? I believe that in the end jesus is more merciful then this and he knows how each of us have grown up up, the different cultural and religious beliefs that people have grown up in. The jesus i know is much more merciful than this sorry to break it to the 700 club members here. We can get technical and debate interpretation of scripture all day(trust me i did it for many years and it was never useful). Every night befor ei go to bed i pray to jesus to help all my friends(christian, jewish, muslim, hindu and even atheists) make it to heaven so that they could see his glory and enjoy endless peace and love with him. Sorry but i wont condemn anyone to hell based on their religion. I believe that god also takes all of this into consideration and can look into each and every one of our hearts.
god bless all my fellow human beings

Rub3x please dont make all atheists out to be angels because that is simply untrue. I have witnessed many atheists try to force their beliefs on me so please dont generalize. there is good and bad in every religious and non religious views. The difference between us is that i dont believe that i can be good on my own(im not that arrogant). I have seen the destructivness when people pervert the word of god an duse it to serve their own hidden agendas, but i have also seen throughout history how a godless world can be corrupt and basically anything goes.

If you are an atheist what will prevent u from making your own rules. Say tomorrow you believe that it is right to rap and pillage a town and u could get away with it. Would u do it ? Some people would and some people wouldnt. Do u live by mans rules? Look at what mans rules has gotten humanity throughout history and see what gods rules has done for humanity when followed with coimpassion and empathy and love. No comparison!!!!

Kalvin, that statement of going to hell if you dont accept christ can be interpreted in many ways. Why did jesus bring up the example of teh good samaritan that helped the old man on the side of the road? Do u think jesus forgot about that good samaritan . Did you know that samaritans back in those days didnt believe in god? What do u think happened to this good samaritan? Sit down and think about that for a while before u judge christianity for being intolerant towards others:)

Are you saying that the only thing that stops from raping and pillaging your town is your religion?

Haven’t the crusaders did just that under the banner of the cross?

Strangely, believing in your bible didn’t stop them:

I think a more appropriate question is: Does God's grace extend to all religions and all people? I tend to think yes, so I will see you all there.

Have you ever tried to put yourself in Jesus situations. the way he reacted to threats, to everything he faced?
Could you do it? some of it? - the same way he did?

It's not about people its about Him, Jesus Christ, the Character.

I believe and/or don't believe because of what others say or do. I believe because of the personal relationship I can enjoy.

People have told me much nonsense about religions including Christians. Jesus never. His name - His words are power that work. Forget about others.

You can be even an atheist or whatsoever and you can have a personal relationship with him(some don't know that he's working through the spirit in them, but one day they will confess). It's not limited or reserved to 'Christians' only. He knows quite well that many people have not the chance to learn about His Gospels. He knows about the many children that died and still die without having had any chance to know about Him. He'll be there for them.

I can enjoy a personal relationship with a sock puppet on my wall which I have never met before in my life. Does that make me a believer? Does that mean I can have a relationship with my computer and my TV just like I can have one with a person who has been deceased for two thousands years? I can learn about him - but I cannot meet him, whereas the sock puppet has a smile and the computer or TV greets me with the glowing warmths of oblivion. I shall go carve a cheese god from cheddar and name him chist. I shall have a personal relationship with chist and worship him. Hey, if you can worship and have a relationship with someone who's been dead for two thousand years I can have one with a block of cheese named chist - right?

Never heard of the holy spirit? Yes, you can have a personal relatioship with him in spirit. Puppets don't have spirits, they can carry evil spirits, but they don't have a spirit on its own, but if the above is that what you believe, then I think you have gotten a serious mental issue.

But I'm confident that He is chasing you after all. ;)

Uhm...so without belief in some sort of god, you'd rape people and steal from people? Wow that really says something about your character. In fact it basically says you need to be afraid of something in order to refrain from doing it.

I however have self control, and have no desire to rape people..unlike you. I don't need to fear something in order to not do it...unlike you. I have morals...unlike you.

Sarcasm is lost on some. I think there are some christians who think atheists really believe in the FSM
