    Hey everyone,

Thought I would let you know that I am doing a case study on article writing and its affect on Google Serps. I hope to provide empirical results and justify , or shoot down, article writing as a means to increase serps.

Let me know what you think.
You can find the cast study by using the link for the contest in my sig file, then clicking on the make money blog in the navigation.

That's pretty obvious since SE pick up keywords... which effects your SERP according to the keyword saturation on your site/page.

While it may be obvious, it would still be great to have some metrics tied to it

I don't think it's obvious at all. Google knows what sites are article sites and can easily devalue links from them. So, is it STILL worth it? :)

And yea, I will keep everyone updated

I still don't think this post belongs in the reviews category and am still pissed at the "infraction" that I was given. Aside from complaining some more(sigh...mods...), I thought I would update everyone on the case study.

    Week Two

I noticed via Google Analytics that a website picked up the article I wrote and republished it. This is just one example of how websites will use your articles to add content to their site and also proves the point that your article should not already be published on your site. Always write a unique article! The site was Small Business Brief and although it only brought in an additional 9 visits, sites like these can quickly add up.

The results below will show why most webmasters prefer, and even enjoy, chasing the long tail.

Wow, great information! Now, some questions:

    1. Was the site ranked for these keywords before?
    2. How old is the site?
    3. Where did you post the article?

The site was not ranked for these keywords. Everything listed is a direct result of article marketing.

The site is about 2 years old.

I have a list of sites that the article was posted at on the case study itsself. Hope that answers some of em : P

I'm tracking my keywords positions after article submission. Typically, it takes 2-4 weeks to get higher in search engine results.
