Are Link exchange sites worth it? If you choose what sites you list properly? If so what sites are the best.
if you are making link exchange with a related web site, bıth of you can make profit from this exchange but one of has a software site and the other of you has travel site . this exchange will HURT both of you
Yeh they are definately worth it as stated above make sure it is related content and try to aim for high pr sites.
When you linkexchange you must link with related sites 'coz if you link to unrelated one you will link to link farming...E-mail the web owners of related sites But according to other SEO and articles I've read reciprocal linking is not being recognized by google nowadays...
In my opinion they aren't to helpful They do more harm then good just my opinion Bether contact directly the site owners that intrests you or like on dp exchange section try
link exchange is good depending on the site you will link... as long as it is relevant, it can be helpful... if you want to get an natural inbound links without your notice, give browsers what they madly need and I'm sure they'll point a link to your site and share them to their friends...
If you believe ANY sort of link exchange is useless, then you shouldn't do it at all. But I doubt anyone would agree on that. So, it means that there are smart way(s) to exchange links. Ultimately, if you just pick good link partners and quality backlinks, you will get benefit. Relevancy is very important in link development, whether via link exchange or buying a link. So, to your original question, I think it all depends on how you use them. They can give you lots of link exchange opportunities, but you are the one to use them wisely. Having said that, in the reality, many webmasters who are on those link exchange sites don't seem to understand or have good knowledge of SEO, so they simply want to exchange links to anyone, any website. And that's the problem and can waste your time. Nothing is perfect...
I often doubt how relevant most automatic exchanges are, when they are only dealing with categories of site. When I used Link-Vault, I was seeing links placed that really weren't that relevant, and I really didn't have much control over that. Doing it manually is a different matter of course. Having said that, a friend of mine used Link-Vault for over a year with one particular site (stock market related) and had around 20,000 back links from it, and did VERY well. It makes me think that longer term usage of automatic exchanges can provide benefits. I also don't think that just focusing on high PR is the way to go, simply because I would wager that is something Google might look for to determine which sites are paying for back-links. But that's just what I think. I am actually part of a small team developing a link broker system (as opposed to just an exchange) that uses keywords rather than categories to match links to pages. We spider the publisher pages ourselves for keywords, so we know for sure how best to match things up. I would link to it, but in its current form it isn't fully functional....maybe in a few weeks though.
Yah your right link exchange is worth it if you choose link with high page rank, quality link and relevant links. I got link exchange in DP and so far DP is the best link exchange forum.
Exactly, that's why you should exchange links with relevant websites. If your site is about pets, and has games, then you should exchange links with pets and game sites. Right?
Link exchange with relevant site will always benefits you, no matter if it helps in increasing PR but it will give you some decent traffic.
I don't do that much link exchange, I don't care. However, my site get decent placement. One of my sites (in my sig) is on the first page of Google for the higly competitive term: "affiliate marketing" and I have less than 30 reciprocals. I prefer blogging. It's a better way to spend your time.
