Hello fellows, I'm about to launch a Fantasy Football Site in the UK and off course that I'm intending to follow the launch with an Ad words campaign, What CTR should i expect? (It's Fantasy Soccer for all the Americans among us and it's aimed to the UK market. P.S I want to double check my marketing guy estimations so any help will be great. Thanks
That depends on your ad copy & keyword selection. Don't get too hung up on CTR, it's one of the things I tell people they shouldn't worry about in the early stages.
Absolutely - you'll get (for example) a better clickthrough rate for [fantasy football league] than for "football", and putting words like "free" in your advert will improve your clickthrough rate (if it is)
GuyfromChicago I understand your point and totally agree with that, I think that i need to rephrase my post, From your Knowledge and experience, What are the Usual CTR in the Field of Fantasy Football (soccer) in the UK, meaning by that, in that particular field, what is the average clicks per searches? Thanks in advance
The only way to get the "average" CTR for a certain market would be to review all the ads that have competed in that space since it's inception. No one outside of the gates of Google has access to that data.
Not to mention that it is different for each position, and depends on the quality of the other adverts, the natural search results, and the keyword itself...
Yep, way to many constantly changing variables. Tompas, don't worry about what the averages are...just work on making your campaign the best it can be.
For this kind website (with a good adcopy and a good kw selection) the CTR could be good. Its the conv. that you should be worried. I am talking from experience on sport forum websites
