Hello all, I've been lurking around DP for a couple weeks and decided I should jump in and participate. During the day I'm an RPG Programmer, (AS/400 aka iSeries aka SystemI), and at night I mess around with web stuff for my personal enjoyment. My hope is to learn enough from all the good people at DP to create a small but steady side income from some site ideas that I have. See you around the forums! =)
wow good to have a RPG guy among us. Also you can make side income with some directories. Create 1 directory, do SEO, work for backlinks. Once you get PR5 make it paid. You can earn easy money after that. ( easy money = minimum of $5.95/per link in your directory) You got problems post on the forums and we all here will try to answer them oh ... and Welcome to the forums.
Thanks! I have noticed that evryone and their brother seems to have a directory, but I don't really understand why. I get that they make money from paid links, but with so many directories out there, what's the point? Is it just to help a site maintain it's own PR? I.E. if I have 20 backlinks in 20 different PR5 directories then my ranking won't fall below PR5?
Yep. That's right Well directory dont help much than links on similar content. ... Still there are many people who would like to submit link to your directory
