I got an email from godaddy, saying ICANN fees are decreasing from $0.25 to $0.22. To be honest, it wont make a difference to me, but it will to other people. Rob
It's strange about how they're making so many adjustments.. but yes, for those domain companies who are pocketing this, they'll be effected.
I read last year that they are going to increase the cost of domains by 10% over the next 10 years, but now they are decreasing fees? I dont understand ICANN's motives for this minor ICANN fee ajustment.
All the registrars charge you ICANN fees, but GoDaddy is the only that applies them at the checkout point as marketing tactic, so this is not an exclusive and makes not much difference, really. ·
GoDaddy is a just a plain registrar with good marketing team, nothing more nothing less. Regarding ICANN i think he plays a popularity game, They decrease their profit by 0.03 cents and allows registries to raise their prices much more If ICANN wants to get money they charge the yearly registration fees at registrars (as they do all these years) and be perfectly balanced with their financial plan They have the pie and the knife they do what they choose to do always for their profit
Well that decrease made a diffrence lol ya ICANN i dont know for some reason they not right for me. @Your Content
Is the ICANN fee's built into the other domain registrars prices? Why is it only Godaddy which seems to add on the additional fee?
ICANN charges all domain registrars this fee for every registration. Only a few chose to detail that in their online shopping carts for end users to see.
