Anyone every experienced poor google results based on a page being over optermized?

What do you mean by over optimized page? If that page has been proper optimized without

    - text stuff
    - over use of alt tag on image
    - over use of H tags
    - duplicated contents
    - content made for bot, not for people
    - hidden text

If you page has been optimized well without spammy, you won't get penalized for sure.

"Over use of keywords"? What do you mean? Have you put so many keywords that your text meaning was distorted?

Not spam (well i dont think so)
Say my key word is 'blue widget'
This maybe in my text 3/4 times ... MAX ..
Now also on the page i have deep links to pages on the site that read like ...

    <a href = xxx.com/blue-widget-florida.php>Blue widget florida</a>
    <a href = xxx.com/blue-widget-new-york.php>Blue widget new york</a>
    <a href = xxx.com/blue-widget-town3.php>Blue widget town 3</a>
    ....
    <a href = xxx.com/blue-widget-town20.php>Blue widget town 20</a>

So i may have like 20/30 internal links that all contain 'blue widget' in the urls + in the anchor text.

Would this be classed as over spam or to many keywords? making a page insted of like 3% keyword it could be more like 50%

This will likely kick a flag/filter in.
Your keyword density shouldn't be that high. It gets discussed a lot about what the best "density" is, and I don't think anyone really knows.

I have seen folks say it should be under 7%, and I have seen folks say 7% is too high. But I can tell you that 50% is too high.

Your best bet, do a keyword density analysis on your top 5-10 competing sites, and use that as your guideline.

BTW, on page factors will only get you so far in a competitive keyword area.

Good luck, and I hope you sell a lot of those blue widgets :)

Keyword stuffing can definitely contribute to being blacklisted. Can you explain why you think you did this?

google will just think you did spamming on purpose. it would be better to put those words in meta tag and title instead of url name...

Over optimized with your keywords will penalized you with keyword spamming. Don't over used your keywords.

Hey use keywords in your content not in URL. Yes URL should be meaningful and can contain keywords but dont overuse it. Basically it should not look spamy ;)
