Well I was browsing through google and came across this article which is ezine approved.

    The article says -

".....After you've downloaded and installed the Google Toolbar, notice the green PageRank strip just above the Google logo. Now rest your mouse cursor on top of the PageRank strip and a text box will appear showing the PageRank number of the site you are on. It shows a PR of between 0 and 10. Very few sites if any have a PageRank of 10. What you eventually want is a 4/10 or above.

To get your web pages quickly indexed or listed into Google and Yahoo, enter the index page URL of your site into the Google Search box. Next, click the Search Web button next to it, and Google will begin searching for your URL.

This action will instantly call the Google Spiders to come search your web pages and immediately your site will get listed into Google... that's it!

YOU ARE NOW INDEXED IN GOOGLE! ....""

So what the author is trying to say is, If we search for our OWN URL using google toolbar our site will get listed instantly!

And this has been approved by Ezine! Don't they have Editors who actually READ the articles?

Come on...ofcourse this doesn't work! it not logical..and...the author probably doesn't even know what he is talking abt.

If you are not listed in google, and if you search for your full url using google toolbar it will simply say Your search - www.XXXXXXXXXXX.com - did not match any documents.

I was just wondering HOW this document was approved by ezine.

Wow, that article has some shady info.

You need to have at least one link to your site from another site that's listed in Google, in order to get indexed (and not be instantly doomed to Supplemental Index - even that won't guarantee it). Two ingredients to get indexed quickly:

    1. Build links to your site - when your link building campaign is starting, even forum sigs can help.
    2. Submit an XML sitemap at Google Webmaster tools and Yahoo! SiteExplorer. Google reps say this is the fastest way to get indexed. Don't use the manual submit pages. I know that at least Yahoo penalizes sites that are manually submitted (temporarily).

So if I search a lot of times for my URL? Will it get indexed faster?

I got your point. Obviously what they claim is not practiced. Quality is like a catchy word for advertising purpose.

i don't blame ezine......they can't possibly have editors that are experts on the subject matter of every article that is submitted....

Quality of the article aside, I have tried it with new sites and this tactic does work for getting a new site indexed.

Just not instantly from my experience.

    Good luck.

one pr5 link will get you indexed in one day! If that PR5 is indexed the day you get the link. 3 days max.
