Well it all depends on the quality of the backlinks, but yes this is easily achieveable.

One of two really strong relevant backlinks from a pr6 or 7 page with hardly and OLB's could get you a PR5.

They must be quality backlinks and PR of around PR4-PR5 :D

My site have 8000+ Backlinks but got only PR3 in this update so you can decide by the number of Backlinks (ya ofcourse it is gud) but the Backlinks must be Quality one's ;)

It all depends on the type and quality of the links. If you get at least two pR-6 relevent links. You may end up in PR-5. I am having 9500 links for one of my site but with PR-4 only.

local-host - don't buy them from a Farm! - always get relevant, links - i have a site with only 300 backlinks (PR7) = 90% are all relevant, solid links from pr4 to pr7. Also don't worry about the PR bar - worry about your sites content - that will help far better!

It is highly dependent to the quality of backlinks you have, even with 100 backlinks you can get PR 5 (but in that case you need atleast 50 backlinks to be pr5 or above)

in short if you have 1000 pr0 or pr1 or pr2 backlinks it's not certain that they will take you to the PR5

when you guys say the backlinks need to to be a P5, P6, etc., does this mean the domain of the site, or the PR of the actual page that your link resides on?

There is rule and maths which google have. But Big G do not share complete detailed formula.

Broad things known are: number of links, quality of links and Pr of links.

I personally feels, If you get 2000 Pr0 - Pr3 links then you cannot get PR5 and one strong PR7 is enough to make you PR5.

    Good Luck.

yes u can , but it need the quality of your back links and the pr of the site from where u got back links , if u have more then 100 back link in pr 4 or pr 5 sites , then easily u can get it , but remmember if u have all links from one sites or from few sites , then don't think so that u have so many links , if u have 1000 links only from one site then there is not so much benefit of these back links, so try to make back links from good pr sites and with many sites also

note that AGE is also important factor as Google does not pass a lot of PR for new links. I'm assuming that one links has to be at least 4 months in order to pass its whole PR value and a new (1 month) link is passing only about 1/10th of the pr that 4 months old link will pass.........

    Cheers,

    Venetsian.

    Understand PR doesn't equal traffic

    You should concentrate on rankings

I agree, page rank dosen't provide traffic, i have a site that is only a couple of months old and have 6000 backlinks for my site i only received a page rank of 3. I assume most of that rank came from a pr 7 and a few pr 6 the rest are only pr 0. My estimate would be pr 3 to pr 4 at most
