Think clicks instead. Some adgroups I get thousands of impressions but almost no clicks. Those adgroups subsequently get discarded.

There is no general rule thumb. However, you can calculate it if you were to use pay per impression.. which can be around $2 - $3 per 1000 hits. Just do the math :)

well if u r not too sure about how many clicks you might get. It would be a good idea to check CPM ads. If you got a blog with feedburner on it, you might be able to get into FAN.

I will try to give you a invite if you are interested. not sure how to do it :D

Basically feedburners pays the best in CPM industry, some ads are $8 per 1000 impressions. That will ensure you get around $1600 per day with 50% share going to feedburner, so around $800 without any hassles.

    What type of website?

    200k per month?

If all goes well, my guesstimation would be anywhere between $300 to $600 and that depends on a.) type of website, b.) content c.) where the traffic comes from perhaps?(countries, etc.)? and d.) type+placement of ads.

i think nobody can give the exact quantity . that depents on your site category but i believe that you can earn from 2$/1k impression :)

It's not a matter of page impressions. It's all about your site's niche and how much people are willing to pay for each click, and how many clicks you can get away with and still come out ahead on your ROI. No one can tell you or guess for you or give you a "rule of thumb". You just have to do it. So start small (maybe $100 a day or week), so you'll know what works and what doesn't. More often than not, you'll have to keep tweaking your sales copy to get people to click on your ads. Once you find the right combination of sales copy and right landing page then you can start investing more heavily.

Not exactly... depends on content of your website and if traffic is from US. :)

I've noticed that US traffic = good pay / click. As your traffic moves into global market, the pay / click lessens because non-US people start thinking in their own currency and it adds up. :D

I think 4-5 bucks per 1000 impressions are possible, that's a mean value and very realistic to achieve!
