I can't understand why people buy domains like
    supermao135-2007.com but PR5-6 .
Is there any use of that kind of domains?

Well, to them it would seems like there is value. In the end, the value of a domain name is in the eyes of the beholder. We all have different opinion about them. What in the end is important is the contents and the visitors which comes with the domain name which determines the true value for me.

They buy it because of the high PR... if you haven't noticed, some directories have really strange domain name. In the end, it makes no difference if you're just going to sell links off the site.

The domain would be worth it if you can maintain the PR, and that's why there's a demand for it.

Yeap thats true, but the worst think is that people don't know that in the next PR update the domain Pr will become 0.

Of course you have right....but in my very poor opinion a domain with 20+ letters and Numbers its not useful....for a succesful website...

That would be quite a decrease.. it depends if the backlinks for the domain is still available at the time of the next PR update. If they all disappear, then it would lower to a PR 0.

It's worth it if you pay $50 and make $150 out of the domain isn't it. People don't just look at domains because the name sounds pretty, but rather the revenue potential or ROI.

If someone tripples their money, it really doesn't matter how many hyphens, numbers, words or letters the domain has.

If it maintains the PR , you can make money selling text links

and new domains need to be aged .. so if you dont mind the branding part, old domains are much easier to build up IF they are not blacklisted. imho

I wouldn't buy the above name. To me it's worth $0 as a name. The only good thing about it is having the PR which you could sell links off it, which makes it worth a couple of bucks if you wanted to buy it.
