I have got a blog having PR 3. But the bad thing is that it is hosted on Wordpress.com I want to get the Blog transferred to my own domain and hosting as soon as possible so that I have my pagerank no matter what.

Anyone who know how can I retain my PR when I switch to my own domain please help!

Yes, you cannot transfer PR but linking to higher PR may do the trick... IMO :D :D :D

You cannot transfer your PR, but requesting for a linkback from your old site's link sources may help.

Yeah, the best thing to do is to announce that your blog now has new domain. Put some links or redirect your visitors to the new site.

Would have to do it as you people suggest. But one more question how much time will it take for the new domain to get the same pagerank if I publish a post and link to the new domain?

This might not apply when moving content out of wordpress, but am I not right that sending a 301 redirect will transfer the PR from an old page to a new one?
