Aright guys. I just launched a proxy site as i want to make more money from Google adsence. Iv submitted my proxy to a number of top sites and i have exchanged links with some myspace releted sites and i have purchased some blog posts. The site is currently only making me a few bucks a day though. Does any one have any ideas how i can increase my traffic and awareness of the site? All help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jason
What blogposts have you posted it on? Try marketing it in a highschool related forum where the kids are!
They were mainly general blogs and some web design repleted ones. Im going to buy a few myspace bullitens and im going to do some more link exchanges
Website design related ones.. you should try to target the myspace crowd in forums.. so like: Hilary Duff forums for examples, lots of tweens are there -> so they can use your proxies at school!
Don't forget that Summer is coming soon though... I'm trying to come up with a good way to market this towards people who would be surfing at work, other than just using keyword insertion for SEO.
Yes, you need to consider holidays as well So just simply shift your marketing towards a different audience as holidays begin. Like you said, people who are at work. (so an older audience of course)
Myspace spam work best for me. I made $247 dollars one one domain with no backlinks, sending the link out only through myspace mail and/or friends posts. If you need help automating this send me a PM and I will do what I can to help you out.
thanks for all the suggestions. iv just submitted the site to 40 proxy topsites and i have noticed traffic increase from the users online feature. also this will count as relevant backlinks right. Does any one have a list of proxy top sites?
How exactly would having a 'users online' script thingy increase your traffic? I figured that if anything it was more of a novelty - You are referring to the '# of users online' thing that people put on their sites, right?
