You've heard about "Don't by Gas on this one day...etc"..and we all know that won't work...but i just got an interesting email from my mother...that i think might have some potential...what you do you think?

why don't you explain a bit more ;)...

why don't you think this would work...it sure has a hell of a lot more potential than the 'don't buy on one day' approach

we cant even get 3 ppl to agree on pizza toppings let alone three hundred million to agree not to get gas from those companies.
anyway while were at it lets use this system to lower milk prices, and car prices and anything else we can think of!
    bottom line it wont work.;)

We people in the US need to wake up. People in other countries have been paying $6/g and up for years.

is that a reason not to try and do something about it?

I don't really think much will change the way of things...the gas companies are just too big to really make a difference probably...but i don't really think that means not to try and do anything about it...

Thats not how you will lower prices, if everybody was to open a futures brokerage account and "bid" 0.01 per barrel of oil then you might see prices fall but don't hold your breath.

People are going to go to whichever gas station in their town is the cheapest. In my town the Mobil station and the Citgo station are never the cheapest! So I guess I am participating in the boycott unintentionally. :p

someday those oil reserves will be depleted, so we have to use them wisely.
we should also focus on finding some alternatives.
