    Hi

I am looking for a news manager script

    I need it
    - secure
    - seo optimised
    - made in php and mysql
    - support more than 200 new articles by date
    - an effiscient search engine
    - rss
    ...

Have you ever tried/used the ones we can fin on the internet (interspire, interactivetools...) do you think it is better to use a blog script?

    Regards
    Olivier

Have you tried Wordpress? It is a blog software, but it can match your requirements. I am not sure, but take a look.

You can try xooArticles Software (xooarticles.com). It's full featured solution that can be used as a news site, blog system or articles site.

phpcow news publishing by phpcow.com seems to match with all your requirements. I'd recommend to check it

    - secure - YES
    - seo optimised - SURE check the urls and template ;)
    - made in php and mysql + LAMP is preferred
    - support more than 200 new articles by date - OF COURSE, add as many articles as you wish
    - an effiscient search engine - not yet, search will be implemented in few days. We just optimize our search system.
    - rss - YES as a separate plugin which is configured via admin panel...

interested?? Wanna know what software I mean? It's xooArticles publishing suite

no problems. extract from support forums:

You can configure the script to allow posting for guests in admin panel :) Posts organized alphabetically - it's more than just a very very simple modification. You should change just one line in code and we can advise where you should do this

Many different people will offer different answers and opinions to your question, explorer11. Well, the difference in my opinion is in content organization. Blog based websites organize information by time while article based websites organize its content by groups or categories. The content in Blog and Article websites can be technically interchangeable. Blogs are great for informal writing and content orginizes without needed logic and one work can be completed in several posts while articles are supposed to be done in one post and in more formal and professional writing style what tends the article website audience to expect less frequent updates.
