If US will attack from air and land without nukes, it will be one of the hardest
fights in US history. Iran has prepared for long war and all their missiles and
important assets are underground at the time, US cruise missiles can not
inflict same damage as they did in Iraq. Iran knows how the war will proceed
with US, remember that Iranians are very intelligent and as history tells us
they are one of the most hardest enemies to defeat.

Iran has world largest underground network and they will use it. Infact some
people say that Iraq was conquered because USA needs a land base access
to Iran, they know that air war is not going to be what it was in Iraq.

    Su-37 (Iran has around 50)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeMHLBJXCfI

    F-22

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GW2Hvu_mUdU
(Lol, look at the comments section, its funny to see people that don't understand
    shit to comment there.)

This awesom plane is called the ultimate fighter by aviation professionals, it
will easily out manouver F-22, if you watch the comments at youtube about F-22
being better in manouvering than Su-37, its completely false. F-22 has stealth
but it is not invisible to Su-37, so that wount help either. This russian built
super fighter is the best plane in Irans Air force. This is the reason that US
have not attacked yet. Only advantage F-22 has is longer missile range, but
long range missiles are easier to avoid than close ones. US stealth planes are
not safe in Iran, and several have been shot down in other conflicts. The fact
is that most US citizens don't know about this, but it is true. We will most
likely see more land warfare than in Iraq, and lots of dead iranians and Americans.

Oh, forgot to mention that professionals say that F-22 would lose a dogfight
with Su-37. So think about that. Fancy things like stealth would be nice in
Iraq, but are useless in Iran. I promise you that when the war starts we will
see lots of burning planes and all of those are not going to be Iranian planes.

Also forgot to mention the Iran radar system that is russian made. It shows
USA stealth planes in air from very long distances. To some countries, stealth
planes are good, but against Russia, China, Korea, Iran and few other nations
    stealth is compeltely useless.

I was thinking about what strategies US will have. Im quite sure they will make
huge land attack with air support. I'm also sure they will first take out all
visible targets with long range missiles.

It just bothers me how easy people forget about the provocation from Irans leaders.

Despite multi billions $$$ worth of incentives(including a whole set of a light reactor) to get them away from their dangerous aims, they still continue and even gear up. Instead of chosing a kind of partnership, that would have brought billions and on a long run trillions of greenbacks in a jiffy to this country, they seek confrontation.

They ask and it shall be given, easy like this.

I must say that the iran leader is quite ruthless, his arogant attitude will be
his doom. I just hope the war in there will be swift, fast and not many dead
    people.

Communists and Islamists scratch each other backs as always. I hate communists for a million reasons and this is just one among them.

Nuke a communist nation and Islamic fundamentalists are put in their place. Right now, Israelis are building an unmanned aircraft to carry a nuclear warhead. Guess for who it is meant for?

True, without russian support Iran would not stand a change. They would be
crushed so bad and before they could even say infedel they would have been
removed from the face of the earth.

Only reason they are still there is the russians and their weapons tech.

Unfortunately, you have a madman in White House at the moment. I believe he has this vision of trying to destroy all the Muslim countries. Luckily, for world peace, his time in White House is coming to an end.

other countrys have recently developed nukes (such as India and Pakistan). Should the US invade those countrys too because they have nukes?

Stealth means it is not detectable...so what does the SU-37 have that makes it able to see the F-22?

I would also like some facts to back up your claim that the SU-37 is superior, and that "several" of the US stealth planes have been shot down..

Here let me fix this for you because we couldn't have you guessing here now can we?? Injecting your own assumptions is not reality.

    Lets look at the facts....

Iran is not threatening the USA......The US is threatening Iran. Let me repeat this because some people do not understand the difference, they can't decipher the propaganda from the proof. Iran is not threatening the US, the US is threatening Iran.

You really do like to stick up for these guys, don't you? And just so you know, Iran is the one threatening everyone else....as usual, you have your facts backwards:

No, "we" did not. "You" might have, but self-loathing on behalf of your country and giving away Iran's credit to others, does not make it so.

I've corrected your "assumptions" on this several times. If you have feelings of guilt, take that guilt on yourself and assume personal responsibility for Iran's actions.

He always has, since he started posting his nonsense here. Quite a few people have noticed it too. He even tried to pass himself off as an American.

A conventional war with Iran would consist of a series of stages, roughly along these lines:
    • Missiles destroy their communications infrastructure, making command and control nearly impossible.
    • Aircraft and missiles destroy their airfields, making takeoffs and landings much more difficult.
    • Our fighter aircraft destroy what percentage of their fighter aircraft can come off the ground.
    • Our heavy duty bombers start dropping bunker busters all over the place. This should continue for several months.
    • We go in by land.

This is what the American armed forces are good at. Remember how the Iranians could not defeat Saddam? Remember how easily we defeated Saddam?

The American armed forces were designed to beat the entire Soviet empire. The Iranians are nothing in comparison.

Then the trouble begins. The next step is to occupy, pacify, and rebuild Iran. This is what the American armed forces are not good at. We're getting a lot of experience in Iraq right now, but the experience all tells us the same thing, which is that this is a really difficult job.

This is why I am leaning towards a nuclear solution, with no rebuilding. This does not benefit the Iranians (obviously), but it does serve as a simple and effective lesson for any other nation which desires to upset Pax Americana.

Don't be silly. Neither of these countries are actively attempting to use nuclear weapons on their neighbors or on the U.S.

Hell, we let France keep their nukes.

Iran can't be that sophisticated when it needs to resort to an army of 150000 suicide bombers. Target is about 250000 SB.
