After 2 years, Google closes acct w/o giving reason

Be wary. Google just closed my 2-year account in Adsense. When NuttyPrices got huge fame from a TV spot, and a lot of clicks happened overnight practically, their flags went up.

I explained the reason for the sudden increase but Google would not waiver.

They closed my account, kept my earnings, sent me an email and did not give a reason why. In addition, they stated that due to the closing of this account, I could NEVER open another Adsense account in my name.

This sounds really harsh, right? I thought so too. I emailed asking "why?" and there has been no response.

    Anyone know what's up?

My pass experience with the Adsense team is that they are quite reasonable. That saying I have never had an outright ban, more for content so I am not sure about click frauds, I believe they take these cases more seriously.

Maybe try to convince them a bit more with some evidence .. i.e. Stats, letter or programme of the TV spot.

    Good luck to you.

Send them a forum email/letter. Explain that you have done nothing wrong (if you haven't) and be patient when waiting for a reply.

I'm not saying it occured, but here is a thought.

I was on a new Arborist forum tonight. I know that the owner of the site visits mine and I visit his.

We also have links to each other on our sites.

I never click on his Google ads, even if it's genuinely interesting to me.

Years back, our son got his account cancelled and he had a website which was associated with gaming and RPG matching.

His cancellation, knowing him, made me suspect some kind of association betwwen people clicking and the site. Possibly Google recognizing reciprical links, ISP addresses coordinated between two sites, etc..

Its a thought anyhow. I actually ask people at some sites - the owner - not to click on my site ads just in case.

Sorry to hear this. I would still keep emailing them, but give them a few days to respond & be polite in the emails you send them. Don't spam them every day with emails at this will annoy them
