How do you go about getting a site listed once it was removed? A site that I help out with was recently deleted and it was hinted to me that it was because it is an affiliate site. I find it difficult to accept that an editor came to this conclusion, and it may have been in error. The category where it was listed no longer exists, so it might have been the result of a reorganization. Most of the listings were moved, this particular one was removed. There are no affiliate links on this site. The site does not offer any items for sale (non-commercial). The site does not redirect users to another site. The site has been online since Jan. 2001 (before AdSense) All content is original/unique. The site provides product reviews written by several persons. I'm really at a loss as how this site is considered an affiliate for another site. It was listed in a subcategory of Health/Resources/Consumer Information What would you sugest? Resubmit? Isn't the reason why it was removed is visible to the editors? I wonder if the site would get reviewed beyond the note. Use the editor feedback? I think most feedback is ignored. Let's not get into any conspiracy theories; I'm looking for genuine suggestions as I'd like to help these ladies out.
It was probably moved to unreviewed which is little better then being deleted since it has to go through entire process again, notes are always visible to any editor when checking some URL, but notes can easily be obsolete since URL's change owners, content etc. aslo try posting here http://www.dmoz-resources.com/zone/
Posting somewhere else isn't going to help if you can't share the URL. Repeating what qryztufre said:
I'm shorry !! Understanding Creed's post I think he is reffering to someone that has a BRAIN of an Editor. Though the URL is missing the information within that category is there and just look at up the listings in that unreviewed or that former category. Meaning the FOOT SOLDIERS not included. Geez and we call these people intelihentes.
I read the entire post, than read this line and it totally changed my reply . But creed ur an editor talk in internal forums. And i hope you do not get removed for posting this post from your editor post stating reason " unable to work properly in dmoz community ". Well it helps if you tell which cat it was or which site it was, or you can always ask about it at DMOZ Site Reviews Skunky or some ex-editor will help yaa out.
What i heard wrong huh ? Now i need to remember who told me that u were editor, wait i think it was popo.
Ha Ha Ha. I knew Creed is not an editor so wherever you got that info its not from me. Maybe David Copperfield did something to you when Creed posted some Congrats about directory getting listed. I know that a lot were asking if he was an editor. Abrakadabra !! Now your under my spell, paidhosting.
Without posting the URL and specific details, can "you guys" let the rest of us know what happened - ....I just curious/
Actually he wanted to know the reason only not the url , but anyways if u wish u tell me url i will post some possible weird reason.
what is your url? i wonder that . and have you wrote this on resource-zone forum . if you did not wrote it yet , i stongly suggest you to write it
In response to your PM, I don't what happens in Health categories as they are not an area I generally work in. However your site is awaiting review as far as I can tell, so there is hope. Just know way to tell when a review will happen or what the outcome of it will be.
