i keep seeing where arcade sites are being targeted for termination. So would it be wise to not run ypn on these types of sites?
I personally wouldn't recommend either YPN or AdSense on arcade/games websites. The value per click is too low. Instead, CPA networks, especially game related ones, or CPM banner advertising are probably better.
Anything to backup your statement? I've got a friend that uses YPN for 14 months for arcade site and hes still fine. Explain?
i think because YPN has not really got the revelent ads to show correct and the advertisers dont get the money worth?not sure though
Ya, that makes sense. so do they have a problem with other sites that they dont have relevent adds for? or is it just a few topics like arcades that they have problems with?
From my experience, YPN pays much more per click on Arcade related sites, hence why everyone with an Arcade is using YPN. Mix in untargeted ads, and non-converting clicks, and you have a recipe for bannings.
Its realy simple if you want to have adsense or YPN on your arcade DON'T put Ad's next to images or near games to confuse the user. As this will have ur account terminated. Just follow the rules! gd luck
If i where you id go do Ebay or Amazon game purchaseing, Sign up for there afilliate program at www.cj.com (Commission junction)
people are getting terminated for poor traffic conversion...pretty much ypn is basing their ppc on cpa and because they show irrelevant ads because their targeting is horrible its hard to get 16 year olds to convert for high price adverts for legal claims etc
If you ask me YPN is getting out of control if they terminate accounts because they don't have ads to display for that particular category. Why don't they just display public service ads like adsense and wait for the publisher to remove YPN ?
YPN is fine with arcades. I've been having discussions with them directly recently regarding the best categories to target on my arcades due to their non-relevant ads if you let them try to target themselves. one of their funny excuses was not having enough text on the pages to figure out the right ads. i guess 500 words relating to arcade games wasn't enough.
