You are the lord of the dead...

"ancient Egyptian god of the dead, represented by a jackal or the figure of a man with the head of a jackal."

"Anubis, in Egyptian mythology, god of the dead. He was considered the inventor of embalming, the guardian of tombs, and a judge of the dead. The Egyptians believed that at the judgment he weighed the heart of the dead against the feather of truth. In art he is represented as jackal-headed. Anubis was sometimes identified with Hermes in Greek mythology."

I think you should be in charge of all the dead people. That would be much better, because there are way more dead people than living ones:)

    post count +1, right?

This wouldn't be a religion that got defensive or was strict in any way shape or form, but rather a guideline on how to live your life, not have your thoughts controlled, and worshiped the ideals of wisdom and knowledge.

Hey Jackuul, I wouldn’t recommend starting up your own Religion. I mean honestly you say ‘a guideline on how to live your life’! Why not follow the law? Strike that, people should follow there own inner self ought. Treat people as ends in themselves, lookup Kant and Deontology. You will see what I mean. By setting a ‘guideline on how to live your life’ you are technically controlling any free thought by a preset ruling system. You get my drift?

These guidelines would not limit thought. The whole point is a guideline that inhibits a closed mind to information and study, whereas other religions inhibit open minded thought and science. Plus we will worship cheese. Behold, the power of cheese.

And the different religious sects can be provolone, cheddar, parmesan, cheddar, mozzarella...etc.

What if the mozzarellas start killing all the nacho cheese followers because they don't feel that nacho cheese people are correctly following the one true cheese?

So who's gonna determine the world leader? Or are you the leader by default since you are the creator of this new religion?

Besides the fact I will rule the world and you will not.... your religion sucks like the rest.

All we need is another fanatic nutcase religion. Tom cruise would be joining you in no time. You could make sure you have a lot of metaphysical theories and hang crystals around your room, but then your mom might make you clean up the mess.

Oh, Timmy forgot his lithium today?

I will rule the world with an iron fisted will to make it something grander and better than you could imagine. Humans are no longer slaves to themselves or their meaningless jobs they toil in day in and out - rather they will build a future that will expand the species beyond the limits of this confined little blue orb.

The religion is more of a pseudo-religion and philosophy, not some kind of arcane bureaucracy ridden megalith with ultimate authority.

i believe that religion is one of the most important part in life, because i believe that the bible said jesuschrist will come down from heaven and he will save the poeple especialy who's inside his religion or church.(Mateo 16:18) that's why he said there will be many false religion because the only one and true religion is the religion he build. before he go up to heaven.

Who is to say that my religion would not be the one true religion - considering catholicism veered off course from the humble beginnings and was washed in with bureaucratic means becoming a megalith? Who is it to say that any religion is or is not the chosen one? Who is to say that the bible isn't more than a collection of stories handed down from the days of Babylon which mimics many of the tales from the works about Gilgamesh - changed very little and warped into what they are now?

You can't. The only thing disputably accurate and not taken from earlier texts would have to be the New Testament - and even then it wasn't written but until 200 years later in some of the gospels - whilst other gospels were hidden and locked away - those that might very well not be the forgeries produced to gleam off the popularity and make a few dollars. I believe, that for true intellectual honesty, the Church (and I mean the big one, not protestant schisms or orthodox) should compile all the gospels with a team of internationally recognized archaeologists and anthropologists, scientists of every kind, to find which books are actually most likely not to be forgeries, and release each and every one of them in a separate book called "The Gospels Compilation" then a second book of likely forgeries with that disclaimer of "The Gospels Quasi Compilation" and finally the proven forgeries "The Gospels Forgery Compilation".

I'd read it - even though I give no credence to any of the bible's current written word, this would at least give each account as it was originally written (and properly translated using experts in the fields of language) and give a more historical representation of what people saw. The reliance on an assembled textbook made by roman emperors is not really going to have any major expectations of total accuracy without metaphoric allusions.

The fact many people take these metaphoric allusions as absolute fact justifies warning labels on toasters and hairdryers. You know the kind. "Do not use in shower".

im not the one! but the bible said that..... because the only one and true religion in this world is the religion that jesuschrist said in the bible in Mateo 16:18 you may read this verse... if you have a bible.
