    Hi

I am working on a new website but the site look like me in the google sand box. A month before i had started SEO for that.

When google indexed my website for the third time so as for that time the ranking are same yet ( never comes up never drop).

Will my website be in the Google sand box?

    Thanks

If its a brand new sites, its inevitable that you'll be in the sandbox. Continue to build quality links to it and optimize every single page. You'll soon see yourself out of the box eventually.

I dont know about the Sandbox theory. I have developed brand new sites that were indexed within a week or two by Google

usually 3-6 months! But there are ways to get out fast! Get super high rank links like 5,6 and 7 and you will be out asap! Considered important then, at-least I read that somewhere I don't know.

No, I do not think that is true. I have one new site right now that has only 2 or 3 backlinks - all PR0 - but it is indexed and only about 5 weeks old.

In my opinion the sandbox is a myth - or maybe it refers to Google's counting of backlinks for new sites instead of the actual site itself.

    um
sandbox and indexing is two different things, the sandbox is what allows or disallows a site from being ranked high in a term. All sites are indexed as soon as they are registered.

Getting sites ranked and getting sites indexed and having a site in the sandbox are 2 completely different things. Do a little homework before posting if you're not sure what the sandbox is.

And you know that from multiple tests and experiences with the sandbox? Again, if you aren't 110% sure with your answer, why are you posting? There is already enough bad information because people just haven't tested the information they give here. Try it sometime. :)

I have, and as far as I know I am correct. I read it then did it and I was able to by pass the sandbox and in one month ranked high in very competitive niches. It may have worked for me for some odd reason, domain could have been registered before or something I do not know but....

PS, I generally don't post on something unless I know about it, and I would be happy to send your details of my seo abilities and show you some of the major terms I rank quite high for :) enjoy!

Continue to acquire links to the site. Get links to the interior pages. Do that just as much as you're doing to the homepage. It will help.

The sandbox works on a trust basis. So the only way that trust is going to be built is over time. Usually starts to kick in 6-9 months with 2nd tier keywords and then goes into full effect about 12-18 months, which is ALL dependent on the keyword competitiveness in the SERPs.

Another thing you could try is social bookmarking, it takes a while but all you have to do is hit one social bookmarking site and it can bring in loads of traffic for you!

Exactly what I'm talking about. You don't know the variables. You just know "Get high powered links". Granted, that no doubt helped, but you also don't know if the site was already old or maybe it had a bunch of links already or a dozen other things.

That's ok :) I find most of the time when people tell me that, their "competitiveness" of the keywords really isn't that hard. Show me top rankings in Google for "Viagra" and I'll be impressed - and that isn't that hard if you want to just hi-jack a couple .edu threads. ;)

OK so how can you explain a site that is only 3 months old having a PR3 (not only home page but most all inner pages are PR3 as well) and being on page 3 to 5 (depending upon which day you search) of the results for the main targeted keywords?

I would really like to know this and how it relates to the Sandbox.

By the way I registered this as a new domain and it did not have any backlinks whatsoever before I started it.

HAHA, dont worry my terms are hard

Your right, I dont have a exact formula for it, but this is a forum and they did ask for opinion so I gave mine. That is not crime in the DP handbook is it? ;)

    a) Pagerank is updated every quarter. That's not a big deal. If you got links before a PR update, then you'd have Pagerank at the next update.

    b) Page 3-5? That's not hard with a brand new site. Get to the first page.

    c) Targeted keywords? Again, get to the first page.

I recently launched a site for a client and get him #2 for the main 2 keywords for that site. How long did it take? 15 days. Were his keywords competitive? No. Were they relevant to his business? Yes.

Getting rankings for non-competitive keywords isn't hard with a brand new site. I've seen it done tons of times and I've done it just as much as I've seen it. Going after a competitive keyword is much more difficult.

hehe, i'm not trying to fight. I'm just having fun. :) Good luck with all you do!

PS - that's the one thing I don't like about forums, you can't hear the tone of someone's voice. :)

Yeah, know what we need, instant voice chat on these forums! Now that would rock, but would be a huge bandwidth eater.
