What is with web 2.0?

What is going on with this web 2.0 thing. Will everyone have to redo all their webpages to convert to this style. Will all old webpages be overtaken and replaced in the search engines with the new 2.0 sites?

    I don't get it.

    Thanks

It's more a load of shit that's been way overused :|

I don't see why people sell things like 'web 2.0 template!' when all it is is a glossy logo and some bright colours

    :D Yup, that's what it's all about.

I find it funny how Web 2.0 design isn't even explained.. if it really belongs to it at all but yeah, Gloss + Shine = Web 2.0

The simplicity in design and functionality of your website is web 2.0.

:D but almost everything now is web 2.0 buddy ;)

If you look at the first generation of websites.. they were pretty um... static ! I like the change!

it basically means adding a portal on your homepage

so if DP went web 2.0, they would add a homepage, with links to latest forum posts, blogs, articles, shoutbox etc

not needed but ppl like it
