So it all starts when, out of nowhere, an ID adds me on my YIM! And puts forth a request for trading epassporte for his Paypal. (Even though, I don't provide any exchange services at all; I have been a customer at some point though, but never an exchange. Still these people add me.)

Now the Conversation with that ID was as follows.

After this, today I receive a PM from rounder777 who is looking for Paypal to Epassporte transactions.

Within a shortwhile, another ID adds me on Yahoo! claiming to be a DP member with good credibility (He claimed to be westhaven from here).

A Google search of his ID revealed two URLs,
One, a site called Cutemeter, a pic rating site
    http://spongebob.cutemeter.com/profile_view.html?uid=buckz_55

Another a Poker site, which claims that he is a scammer and has him listed in his scammer Database.
http://www.onlinepokergoods.net/OLDSCAMMERS.html (Look for psworldchiptrader on that page.)

So, John/16/male from the United States, fear your karma. As what goes around, comes around. It's a sincere suggestion that you drop these scamming tactics and instead do some work.

You are in the United States and are able to avail of a lot of different opportunities. Try putting them to use and .... bahhhh..... Get a Fricking Life!

DP is such a large community that's why scammers get easily attracted to it. I think everyone should be cautious about this.

When someone does that, ask them to send you a pm on DP or tell them to go first!

I think that there is a need for more mods as the spam and scamming is growing. The mods should be active too.

Thanks for sharing Abishek. We should have separate forum on DP. So that all the users can see these type of threads and avoid working with spammers.

How many users will see this thread? This thread will be on first page for few hours or a day. This thread is on 3rd page now. How many of us going to see this thread?

I request the forum admins / mods to create separate forum to point out the spammers.

I am not sure how to contact the mods here. so I am adding my request here.

LOL!!! if somene's name is laksjflsdfkasfyisaufysa'fsafkjlsaf that's a pretty big warning sign. Just never do deals especially currency ones with people you just met. They know that the ToS says you will be delteted for doing it so theyt alk you into it then threaten to report you... Cool people out there eh? Either way I don't do currency transfer but if I did you bet your life I'd due lots of due dillgence.

Scammers never say they are scammers so ask them for facts, if they say sure then never get back to you then you just avoided something bad.

I'm buying a car met a guy everything was cool had a beer, promised he'd never sell anythign thats bad blah. I ask for package and VIN to make sure no accidents or stolen. He was gonna clal me the next day everything great.. Well haven't herad from him at all and I left 2 messages. Lesson is scammers always say everything is cool. Ask them for facts they can't forge and they will just disappear. A scammerss dream is someone who just goes along and "trusts them". Trust no words only facts. Do your background checks people "it's a jungle out there".
