A kit? Never heard of kit. If your referring to Content Management System (CMS) then dotnetnuke would be your best choice. I am more into php/mysql so we have many choices.

Yah, I would look into a Portal system, them "fit" it to your needs with custom mods or tweaks.

I am sorry to disappoint you but ASP.Net hosting only for certain amount of money. I didn't find any free hosting when I was looking for it.
All I can suggest for you it is to build your project on your local computer and provide your external IP address to your professor. Don't turn off your computer while they check your work.

Silly M$ ... always prepared to get you confused with their weird terminology.
Honestly never heard about that and you got me.
But, would you agree with me that it could be simplier named like - free ASp.NET web application, teplates whatever else but not starterkit?

Why to make it simple if you can make it complicated lol

    Regards :)

    hi,

according to my views dont go for any kits, you can higher someone that can build a website for you , there will a great benefit you can customize your website according to you. even you can insert a small script of CMS that can update your some of website page daily as you add data or info at back end pages..............rest depends on you

    Thanks and Regards
