Have a keyword in domain name would help you a much in ranking factor. However, keyword in domain name is a major factor but only small part for SEO in a long term. If your site haven't been updated regularly, not some attractive for visitor then your ranking won't be last long.
Having a keyword in the URL is a plus. The SEs think the site is more relevant and that helps push your site up in SERPs.
