I try and give out rep to those who deserve it...but sometimes i totally don't even think about it...i think i manage to give about 5 of my 10 out a day.

Grey rep counts for nothing - it means the 'repper' is too new to make a difference. You also get grey rep in General Chat to prevent malicious repping over disagreements.

 

those are neutral ones...from either real neutral ones, or from the general section...(hint...if it's from the general section, and there is no comment, or name...it was probably meant to be negative...lol)

I generally give out my full quota each day, usually to three categories:

1. Helpful posts

2. Directory owners offering free submissions

3. Owners of paid directories offering specials to DP members.
