The problem of looking too young

No one believes my actual age. I look way younger than my age, but don't have a baby face or anything. For me, there are pros and cons. The con is that people don't take you seriously. I am in my mid twenties but get mistaken for 17-19 year old.

It sucks now, but you'll be thankful when you hit your 40's ;)

Just grow a beard. You'd look 5+ older.

I have the same problem, only reversed. People (mostly women ;) ) think that I'm older. I'm 21 but I could easily pass as 26 year old :)

It can be good, but it can be bad too

I'm 26 and I have the opposite problem - my receding hairline means I often get confused with a 40 year old! Must be the stresses of everyday life.

Lol , that's funny.. but to some extend, it would be worse to be mistaken for a high school student at 20 though  .. I know girls do not like that! BUT, make up fixes everything :D

I had that same problem-I would go to the movies and have a young teen come and sat and throw his arm around me and I way over 20. The bright side is that when ppl don't take you seriously because you look to young-that will make you work harder to prove them wrong.

LOl. It can't be that bad, can it? A 26 year old getting mistaken for a 40 year old. perhaps you need to save your money you are earning online for a hair transplant or two. This should bring back your youthful looks. :)

I was well into my 20's before I looked 18 and I still can't grow a beard. I can go a day or two without shaving.

Employers quickly take me seriously when they see my resume. And I don't go out to bars so I have no issues.

Yeah.. it all revolves around age discrimination  I dislike that the most.. I mean, admit it :p without age discrimination there wouldn't be a problem with people acting different towards you if you looked young or not!

Lol. Tahts a coincidence. I too can't grow a proper beard. There is big gap between the folliclees that give out the hair strands on my face. This is why I never try to grow out my beard because it would be so sparse. I too can go 3 days or so without having to shave.

You and i have the same problem then :) am 25 years old, and look like a 18 years old, the difference between us that i dont considere it to be a problem, and my look really reflect my personality, even if am a computer engineer, i love sports, dancing and even watching tom and jerry :D , am young inside too :), i think you should be very proud of yourself, many people (especially girls) would love to have what you got :)

When I was 16 I could often get by with paying bus fare for the 12 and under age group. They didnt even question me. Now, I am in my 40s and people usually guess that I am 30 or 35.

In the future you will be glad that you look younger than your age - if it lasts
