Xoom cannot process money transfers where both the sender and recipient are in India

When I saw Xoom and its services, I was excited. But later I saw this note which was displayed...

Note: Xoom cannot process commercial transactions to India. For example, eBay purchases may not be settled using Xoom. In addition, Xoom cannot process money transfers where both the sender and recipient are in India, by law.

Now. How can I use Xoom? I want to withdraw my PayPal

I don't know if the rules are different for different ppl as my money was refunded even though i am Verified PP.

What is the address location of your PP. It must be other than india and also you must have been withdrawing to account name other than your PP account.

you can increased withdrawal limit by sending appropriate documents to paypal via fax which includes

1> Cover letter which states reason why you want to increase your limit and documents attached
    2>PAN CARD
    3>Passport Proof
    4>Bank Statement

This thing would be more than enough for you to increase your limit from 2.5K$ pm to 10K$ pm.

For xoom , I have never faced any problems as long as you use bank deposit or delivery via courier option. Also one thing is for sure , if by chance if they are not able to process transaction they will refund the full amount. It has happened to me 3-4 times so I am pretty sure about it. Sometimes it might time of 1 week for refund and sometimes just 2 days.

So moral of the story if u can wait use paypal . If you need urgent use xoom.

Never had any problems dealing with them

Xoom charges $15 for every $1000 you send.
The first time you initiate a transaction it will take a max of 5 days (max time provided although xoom takes less than that) and thereafter only 2 days (max time)

    My friend is right here.
    1. Payment made through Paypal account to Xoom should be a Personal or Premier account
i.e. if you are paying to Xoom, then pay them with your personal or premier account.
    2. The name on the Paypal account and the bank account should match.
i.e if you paid Xoom with a paypal account bearing the name MR.Xyz the the name on the bank accoun to which you want to recieve payment should also be Mr.Xyz (Mr.ABC can't recieve payments recieve payment)

Well I think in very high regard abut them, as I always get my money within 2-3 days.

Xoom is not to be used for business transactions.
In other words, sending money from a business account is not allowed.
Please read the TOS of Xoom.

You can if you are comfortable with the Indian postal department ;)

All the above points apply to Indians only who are trying to get funds into their bank account from Xoom.
For other countries the rules vary a little.

    Hope this helps.

    Al

i have used xoom for transfering money from paypal to my account.
I used myself as receipient and sender, and you know it worked very smoothly. But i took one week time because my bank was not accepting online payments.

    Man Arvind is right here!
Xoom Rocks and you have to wait for ages for Paypal Checks and you will never be sure if it has come or not unless it is with you.
Even in PP you have $5 charges and for little more Xoom gets the money safe and secure to your bank account
I have done manu Transactions with Xoom and have not faced any propblems at all.
I would recommend using this service.

Arvind covers mostly all points regarding transfer funds through Paypal to Xoom (Indian Paypal - India to India) in above post. Nice thing is that he also offered affiliate link for xoom so we'll get discount in xoom's fees ;)

I am using my uncles paypal account in the u.s. to receive payments for my services. Now, I want to get the money and transfer it to myself using xoom. And xoom is calling me for verification process.

The question is, will xoom be able to verify my uncles identity if we put in a situation that my uncle is really on my country when the transfer took place? Considering I know every little tiny details about that paypal account and would be able to answer any of their questions.
