"My" Domains

I was wondering what people thought of domains with the word "My" in front of it. There seems to be many domains that have "My" in front of another keyword, eg. Mypoker, Mytravel, etc.

Is it a good idea to register domains like this with My in front of any keyword? Do they have good value?

    Like MySpace?
Generally speaking, they don't have much value until branded.

Haha, not exactly as Myspace is unique as it's a hugely popular developed site. I'm just talking about buying undeveloped names with "My" then a keyword after it.

If it's just MY and then some random word after it.. not much value. However, if there is a purpose for the MY to be there (meaning the user and register and do this and that) I think the value would be much better.. once developed of course.

The good thing with "my" is that it's memorable and has some value (this is of course always related with the industry type you will put after my)

Yeah I like "My" in front of domains, for example I have a domain name MyTalkz.com for my personal blog, and its pretty good.

I liked them too and collected a wide spectrum of domains with "my" in front, kept for long years without the expected success I thought so I'm getting rid of them.

And very soon followed by those starting with "Your"

Yeah, I think the point is striking surfers' mind.
I mean, for example, that IMHO "YourPetShop.com" is good, as gives people the idea of a "trusted" shop, while, as you perfectly said, "YourKimBasinger" doesn't works, as I think it's quiet difficult for people's mind to think about a "trusted" Kim Basinger opposed to a "generic" Kim Basinger, (being she only one :D).
