Who gets the money?

    Ok here is my question:

So I signed for this paid forum service, $50/mo. After the first month, I learned it was a huge mistake and the people were just scamming everyone out of their money. It says they have no guarentee to make any money, fine with me.

Here is the problem. It is a recurring subscription VIA PayPal, and like 2 days before April was over, I asked the owner how to cancel my subscription. he delayed until LITERALLY 11:59 PM on April 30th. No I am not joking, it was 11:59 PM when he said that they offer no refunds if we forget to cancel our subscriptions. I am begging for a refund, however he won't give me any money. I think it is wrong the way he told me this on 11:59PM April 30th when my subscription was up on April 30th.

If my lawyer gets involved, who is likely to win. I have not contacted any council yet, just wondering what you guys think. Its a measly 50 dollars, I know, but I want the company to burn to the ground! It is more about revenge now:eek:

You can cancel the subscriptions yourself in Paypal. Yes, you would waste more money trying to get your money back through legal action...write it off as a lesson learned :)

File a chargeback with paypal. Forget about an attorney, you wouldn't get your legal fees even if you win. You could take a person to small claims court in the city where they are located, but you may not win if there terms stated a recurring charge.

if u go to school you pay far more than 50$
you received a lesson for ONLY 50$
be happy and smile and make sure you learned from it
else it was too cheap a lesson to be efficient

paypal recurring payments always are payees responsibility
as in all or most contracted services most business in this world have a notice of up to several months

if you go to your lawyer you may lose far more than 50$ in time and peace of mind even if you win the actual case

HAHHAH i was laughing at your post for like 2 minutes lol. Also no point just file a chargeback and cancel the subscription from paypal. Go to the payment that was sent click on the subcription id number at the top of the information of the payment and then on the subscrion id page go down and cancel it using the cancel button.
